Kaladungar

Kaladungar is situated on the Pachchham island near the northern head quarter of Khavada. It is the highest peak in Kutchh with an altitude of 1460 feet from sea level. It is also considered a holy site for both Hindus and Muslims. Hindus because of the temple of lord Shiva, and Muslims for the Pachchhampir. There are different myths connected with this place. One is when the Prashad is served by the pujari of the temple the wolves come to eat it, when normally they are not seen..

Fair is held on 24/25 of February each year. The distance from Bhuj is 90 km. Transport is provided either by the state bus or private vehicle. Until very recently, there was no route for vehicles to the top. The last couple of kilometres had to be travelled on foot.

Vehicle accidents were a common occurrence on the stretch of road when going up the mountain.
