Welcome to the Cutch Social & Cultural Society Website

The Cutch Social & Cultural Society is a cultural, charitable and non-profit making organisation. The CSCS is an organisation of hundreds of Gujarati-speaking people from across Kutch who are now settled in UK. The CSCS was officially established in 1975 and still continues strong to this day, holding many exciting cultural and social events that brings together Kutchi Guajarati’s from UK.

The Cutch Social & Cultural Society is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who provide voluntary service to the community in the UK. The main aim of CSCS is to preserve, enhance, understand and appreciate Gujarati culture and art. It also aims to encourage friendship among members with entertainment and to ensure that our customs stays vibrant amongst the youth. To promote these aims, the CSCS holds events, such as Diwali, Navratri and Aashadhi Beej including a variety of entertainment programmes from local talents.

The Society also receives and collects donations from various sources, such as through membership fees, donations from members during the cultural functions and Aarti collection during the Navratri celebrations. The donation received is allocated to support various charitable and community organisations both local and abroad, one of the example is rebuilding of Harudi Village after the devastation caused by the Earthquake in 2001.

The site has now been fully updated and refurbished by our youths. The site provides information on cultural events and activities which our society organises throughout the year. It also allows members and visitors to send us their comments and constructive criticism.

The Cutch Social & Cultural Society runs workshops which provides a platform for others to develope their talents. We have a community music band put together by volunteers, and is now developing further after the arrivals of talented youngsters who have a passion for music. We also have a dance workshop for people of all ages. More information about each workshop can be found on the workshops link.

On this website you will be able to find pages relating to the work this society undertakes and photos of our dedicated committee and our yearly events. To find out more about our community, please feel free to surf the pages by selecting the above links.
