Bhadreshwar

Bhadreshwar can be found on the coast of the Arabian Sea, between Mundra and Anjar, there is a beautifully carved Jain temple. About 1600 years ago, there was a city called Bhadravati, but this temple was built well before then. This dates back nearly 3000 years (448 BC). There are three doors to this temple, each representing one of three stages in human life; childhood, adulthood and old age. This temple is declared as an archaeological site by the Government of Gujarat.

There is an annual fair or a mela associated with this place, which is held during 28/02 to 01/03. Transport is by state transport bus, or private vehicle. The temple is situated approximately 77 km from Bhuj. Lodging and boarding facilities are made available by the trust. Subsidised mid-day meals are provided to many hundreds of visitors every day.
